Cook Medical was interested in replacing product photography with 3d renderings of their aortic intervention stent products for marketing activities. These custom stents are produced and stitched by hand for the patient and condition being treated.
Because the stents are hand-made, and highly delicate, photographic methods would often appear with many folds and creases in the stent material, making an ideal representation challenging. This is a small sample of dozens of stent varieties produced for Cook Medical.
